We have installed our first fully automatic loading and unloading station for rail cars. The interchangeable pallet that is pushed forward by the Jungfraubahnen on its trip from Eigergletscher to Jungfraujoch is unloaded completely automatically. And it was not just the extreme landscape conditions at an altitude of 3,454 meters that presented a challenge during the project. The tight schedule, which requires the train to be unloaded and prepared for departure in 3 minutes, was extremely demanding. On top of all this, we developed a sophisticated safety concept, as the entire unloading process has to take place together with the movement of passengers.
